Whippy is a functional watertight vase, 3D printed with eco-friendly, degradable PLA bio-plastic (derived from corn starch). Whippy is made of 'happy' curves, which evoke the pleasures of summer: the deep ocean; a glassy wave; warm sand; a rare shell; delicious ice-cream. Whippy is versatile: light hugs silky curves, bounces within translucent surfaces, and adds soft, shadowy dimension to matte pastel hues.

In 2022 Whippy won a High Commendation at the Interior Design Excellence Awards, and a Commendation at the VIVID Design Awards.

Sizes: Small (14cm H), Large (20cm High), X Large (25cm H).

Notes on colour and texture:

  • SILK PLA is solid opaque colour and is light reflecting.
  • TRANSLUCENT PLA is semi-see-through, shiny, and light reflecting.
  • GALAXY PLA is opaque with a soft, shimmer sheen.
  • MATTE PLA is solid colour, with a non-reflecting finish.
  • COLOUR-MORPH splits colours between surfaces, with blending in between. The same amount of colour appears in any size vase, although larger sizes (25cm H+) will create more dramatic, streaking effects.

3D printing is a craft, not a manufacturing process: slight irregularities are to be expected, making each vase perfectly unique!
